Charity Profile: Person-to-Person

The Junkluggers of Fairfield County is proud to announce our new partnership with Person-to-Person! We will be collecting non-perishable food items for donations on all jobs and bringing them to the P2P Food Pantry in Norwalk as an added service. So if you’ve scheduled an appointment with our Fairfield County location, please consider adding on a can of food or box of pasta or another non-perishable to help improve the lives of those less fortunate in your community. This is an ongoing partnership that we will be participating in throughout the year, not just for the holiday season.

The Norwalk site of Person-to-Person provides financial assistance, furniture and food donations to residents of Norwalk, Weston, Westport and Wilton who are living at or below the poverty line. Financial assistance helps individuals avoid eviction, move into safer housing, and help pay for utility bills. The Junkluggers primarily partners with Person-to-Person by donating gently used furniture and non-perishable food donations to those in need.

We especially love working with Person-to-Person because more than 90% of all donations go directly to programs that help people who are suffering in our very own community.  We are proud to be working with such a fantastic organization and look forward to assisting those in need not only during the upcoming holiday season, but throughout the rest of the year when the thought of giving is not quite at the front of our minds and hearts.
