Giving Tuesday is December 1st

The most delicious holiday of the season is almost here. On this day of giving thanks, we sit down with our loved ones as we prepare to guiltlessly break our diets to indulge in a bountiful feast at the dinner table. Here at The Junkluggers, we want to share our table and our thanks with our wonderful customers who over the years have contributed to keeping tons of junk out of the landfill through donations.

This year, we want to ask you to give a little more by participating in Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and has been raising awareness for charitable causes since 2012. Through the power of social media and the generosity of people around the world, Giving Tuesday brings change by providing a platform to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. Giving Tuesday is all about giving back to the community for those in need.

So after you unbuckle your belt and carve out a place on the couch preparing for all those Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, get into the spirit of end of year giving by donating your leftovers to a good cause. Get your family involved with cleaning out the closet, donate to your charity of choice or donate your time to a local soup kitchen. Instead of instagramming #stuffedlikeaturkey and #passthegravy, you’ll be glad that you’re contributing to #GivingTuesday.
