The Junkluggers believes that it's critical to take care of our planet today to ensure a bright future for our children tomorrow. The amount of waste that ends up in landfills on a daily basis is astounding — so we decided to be more conscious of our contributions.
Josh Cohen, The Junkluggers CEO, has been working to protect the environment since he was a college student lugging around and recycling his first refrigerator. The Junkluggers was born out of the days Josh spent hauling unwanted items in his mom's Dodge Durango to be recycled or donated.
We are working toward this goal every day, searching for new charities to partner with and more environmentally friendly ways to dispose of the materials we lug away.
Unfortunately, sometimes trash is just that and needs to be properly discarded. When we are unable to donate junk, we try to recycle as much of it as we can. Many items we collect may not seem recyclable, but our team members are trained to decide which materials can be disposed of in an eco-friendly way. Many tricky items, such as electronics, can be stripped down and each component can be reused or recycled.
Though many charities offer to pick up your donations directly, there are downsides to this option. They will pick up your unwanted items at their convenience, not yours, and usually only accept a limited variety of items. When you use The Junkluggers to haul away junk, you enjoy the benefit of a pick-up window that works with your schedule. Plus, we provide our customers with the confidence in knowing that what can't be donated will be repurposed or recycled if possible.
Every time we donate items from your home or office, we will provide you with a donation receipt within 14 days. Plain and simple, The Junkluggers aims to donate everything we can. We work closely with a variety of charities that accept clothing, furniture, building supplies, and almost any other unwanted items you can think of.
